The process of plastic injection molding
A typical plastic device is manufactured in this way, with polypropylene being the material. The detailed explain as belowing:
1. Granules of plastic powder are poured or fed into a hopper which stores it until it is needed.
2. A heater heats up the tube and when it reaches a high temperature a screw thread starts turning.
3. A motor turns a thread which pushes the granules along the heater section which melts then into a liquid.
4. The liquid is forced into a mold where it cools into the shape
5. The mold opens and the device parts drop automatically.

We offer extensive 3D mould design services ranging from simple parting line splits to full 3D mould assemblies using Unigraphics software. Our 3D mould design models include all the parting lines, rounds, fillets and drafts.
We deliver 3D Mould Designs and individual component models of cores, cavities, slide faces, and EDM electrodes to mould makers for CNC programming. By creating mould components as 3D solid models, CNC cutter path can be programmed directly from the resulting geometry using Unigraphics. 2-D references and detail drawings are finalized in Unigraphics or exported to a variety of other CAD packages.

Injection Mould Machining
Injection moulding service includes two main methods to manufacture molds: standard Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) milling and Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).
*CNC machining has become the predominant means of making more complex moulds with more accurate mold details in less time than traditional methods.
*The electrical discharge machining (EDM), also known as spark erosion process, has become widely used in mold making. Most injection moulding companies have EDM service in–house, as it is essential to the mould build process of complex moulds. EDM allows the formation of injection moulded shapes which are difficult to machine, such as square corners or ribs.
Testing of plastic moulds
To a certain extent, we test the mold only to find out the problems existing in the mold, not to solve them. Therefore, the mold test is divided into several steps, including empty running, high pressure holding, high-speed injection and related long-time mold running detection.
We'll test the mould again after polishing,then send customer the final sample and video of mould test to confirm.
