Design considerations of sandbeach toy mould
Plastic injection molding is the primary process for manufacturing plastic parts. Plastic is known to be a very versatile and economical material that is used in many applications. Although the tooling is expensive, the cost per part is very low. Complex geometries are possible and limited only to mold manufacturability. Your computer monitor, mouse, and keyboard are injection molded plastics.
Injection molding involves taking plastic in the form of pellets or granules and heating this material until a melt is obtained. Then the melt is forced into a split-die chamber/mold where it is allowed to "cool" into the desired shape. The mold is then opened and the part is ejected, at which time the cycle is repeated.
Injection mold design should include draft features (angled surfaces) to facilitate removal from the mold. Depending on surface length draft angles down to half a degree are reasonable. Typical draft angles should be about 1 too 2 degrees for part surfaces not exceeding 5 inches. Dimensional tolerance specification will govern the part cost and manufacturability. If you have a small region of the part that needs higher tolerances, say the location of a critical feature used for alignment. DO NOT specify a tight tolerance, instead of design and plan for post-molding processes such as machining using "assembly intent" fixturing
The function of polishing in shovel mold
Polishing is an important finishing process in injection mold manufacturing. The purpose of polishing is to remove minor scratches and decrease the surface roughness of the workpiece. It is well known that in-mold fabrication 37–50% of the total time is spent on finishing operations, which are mostly performed by skilled workers employing traditional techniques. And the processing of automation and optimization of manufacturing processes are becoming increasingly important tasks due to the increasing demand for higher precision and productivity in manufacturing processes in the modern industry.
Therefore, high efficient polishing machining and finishing technology are strongly desired for a long time, which will also increase productivity and decrease the labor intensity.
In the current China mold industry, some of the automatic polishing machines used for mold polishing using bound abrasives have been deeply used. There are a few polishing conditions such as pressure, feed rate, and tool mesh that were adjusted in the process to achieve better surface quality as fast as possible by using an acoustic emission intelligent monitoring scheme. The polishing technology on free form surface with a grinding center using an elastic ball-type wheel. This technology applies the cutting locus in the cutting process to remove only cusp height, effectively keeping the form accuracy generated in the cutting process. The automatic polishing system is conducted by using a passively compliant end-effector mounted on the wrist of an industrial robot. This system was used for polishing an unknown three-dimensional surface.
